it's alright.. i didn't get it also the first time.. and when it comes to counseling classes when we learn new theories, i probably was the last one who understood the concept. really should swap my minor.

and the meaning of this song changes if it is analyzed by parts. while the excerpt is about effort, if you hear the whole song it tells about a guy who follows blindly to every whims and fancies of his sweetheart that it consumes him in the end. the ending is far from happy.
